Anchor Counseling
Helping you find your grounding
“Without an anchor, we can be drifted to any shore. May you find hope as an anchor.”
— Lailah Gifty Akita
Are you feeling stuck, lost or overwhelmed?
You are not alone.
Maybe all of your "tried-and-true" coping mechanisms are no longer working. Perhaps you are struggling with your relationships, not sure how to fix things, or feel like you're repeating the same patterns in your life. We all have seasons in our lives where we find ourselves...just...not okay.
If this is you, you've come to the right place. Working together we will focus on identifying patterns that may be creating those "stuck" feelings, and we'll explore new skills to bring you back to a place of balance, so you can begin feeling grounded and centered again. We will work on ways to heal and enhance your relationships, with a focus on growth and fulfillment. A whole-self approach will be utilized to balance your mind, body and spirit, while integration of mindfulness techniques and emotional regulation will help you enjoy a stronger relationship with yourself and others.
Seeking guidance outside of yourself is a huge step, and it can be scary, but you've made the right choice. Whether you are dealing with “stuckness” or overwhelm, cycles of depression or anxiety, or struggling with relationships, I am here to help. You'll have a safe space to process thoughts/feelings/behaviors, and you'll be met with compassion and a nonjudgmental presence, while we work together to find the way back to you.

What can you expect?
Upon meeting, you can expect a thorough initial assessment that will provide a space for us to get to know each other to determine if we are a good therapeutic "fit," and to establish a plan for therapy. Depending on your concerns, we will work together to determine patterns that might be repeating in your life, creating the same outcomes. This takes a little time, but once you learn how to recognize the patterns, we'll work on behavioral and mindset shifts so you start seeing changes in your life!
I tend to encourage self-reflection with gentle nudging, all in the name of growth and those "aha!" moments. Some of the best work is when you make your own connections during our time together. Ultimately, you are the captain of you!
